I have a 1999 mercruiser 5.7l 350 c.i.d engine in my Sea Ray 210 Sundeck. New outdrive installed this spring.
After about 5 minutes running at 3000 rpm, the alarm comes on intermittently. 1/2 second alarm that repeats every 2 seconds. Temp running at 170 per gauge, manifolds not so hot you cannot hold hand on them. Oil pressure steady at 60 psi and oil level full. Stern Drive gear lube full. Battery solid 14amp with a newly rebuilt alternator. Disconnected the temperature sender while on the water (easy to get to) but still get the alarm. My understanding is the oil pressure/level, hi temperature and low gear lube provide a solid warning, not intermittent.
Had this alarm last year when the old outdrive was still on the boat.
Any ideas please?
