Hi everyone,
I pulled apart my 1978 Mercury 20HP (Model 200) lower unit and inspected the impeller. I see that most impeller kits come with a 4-6" rubber tube on top of the pump housing. However, my motor has a long 12-15"?? copper tube. Is this just because the motor is a long shaft? Does that long tube need to fit into a boot at the top of the shaft? I ask because when I put it back together there is no water flowing out the tell tail.
Thanks
