idle mercury 20hp 4 stroke 2008

hello, i just bought a mercury 20hp 4 stroke 2008, easy starts running well . but idle problems .the engine started in the "neutral" position the idle oscillates for a few seconds 900 rpm then for a few seconds it rises to 1200 then drops again and so on. some suggestions?
