2007 Mercury 50hp EFI four Stroke smaller gear case. Serial 1C0616** Carrier is removed. No rust or gear coorosion. Shift shaft is in nuetral. Prop shaft slides in and out about 1 inch but will not come all the way out. I am trying to completly reseal the lower unit. Any help would be greatly appriciated.
