how do you remove the shiftin

how do you remove the shifting mechanism so the outdrive can be taken off on a 175 horse power 302? does anyone have a schematic?

" there are two wires on the port side of the engine down low by the tilt motor on the inside of the boat. they should have knife connectors under a little rubber sleeve one is for forward and one for reverse. Just disconnect these wires, tilt the drive up about half way and remove the tilt caps on the back and it will come off. Grease the cable before putting back on and pull the wires in as the drive is put on. "
