how to check engine temp on a 90hp evinrude?

Does anyone know how to test the operating temp on a 90 hp evinrude 1986, also do they have a thermostat?? Thanks.

There should be 2 thermostats.---------They are in the wee housing with the 2 hoses coming out and going to the bottom of the cylinder heads.---------Motor should warm up to about 150 Degrees F when idling in the water.
