Hour reading Gauge Vs Sounder

Hi all, I have a 2016 60HP 4 stroke Merc.
I have a N2K gateway from the engine to my Lowrance sounder and the engine hours read different on the sounder from the hours on the analogue meter, Does anyone know which would be the more accurate?
