Honda Prop Hub

I bought a new 4 blade Power-Tech prop off eBay. What is the best prop hub for Honda BF225? The current hub in the prop fits E-Tech so this has to be changed. Currently running a 4 blade 19 pitch, but going to try out a 4 blade 21 pitch and see if I can still get a good hole shot and improve my top end speed.

Thanks,

In my pre-Honda days, I found good adapters from Michigan Wheel. Look up their website. Always stuck with Honda props on my 225.

I did not know that Powertech had removable hubs. They do need a different thrust washer than the standard Honda Prop, through.

You should contact Powertech and ask them. They are good at answering questions on the phone.

Talked to them yesterday. Powertech has replaceable hubs called Cushion Loc hubs. My current Powertech 4 blade "19 pitch" has a Powertech thrust washer. I ordered a new hub which is part number below. I run shallow water bay boat here in TX and Powertech works well with Honda motors. They have a video which Honda asked Powertech to help out with designing props for 225 HP. http://www.ptprop.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=53&Itemid=51

The Powertech's that we use are usually fixed hubs from Honda or custom made from them, when we have an unusual installation.

It is good to know the removable hub is an option with them.

Interesting videos.
