Hello from Croatia, Europe!
We have bf150 mounted on Jeanneau Merry Fisher 7.25 boat.
Engine is 2011 model, and worked fine every season till now, round 680 hours on it, always in salt water. For waking speed we have to drive it round 4800-5000 rpm.
Every year normal service as recommended by manufacturer.
In june 2014 we had one overheat alarm, long, constant beep until shutdown. Turned on again and no problem all summer. The dealer connected it to computer and there was no reported error.
This year however, we had numeros overheat alarm, so we changed impeller (old wan was still ok, but still), cleaned all water cooling tubes (there was some lime inside from water), checked tstats (working fine), even tryed to drive without them, but still overheat alarm and no error code on computer.
We cleaned exhaust collector and checked, checked oil level, tryed with new temperature sensor (the one that shows overheat), no luck.
We had motor head dissasembled and repaired (there was some minor leaks, from outside you could see only some powderish stuff, but very small amount).
Still, when it reaches 5000 rpm we get overheat alarm in 10 min tops.
Any ideas what to do next?
