Honda 225 vs suzuki 200

"I went through that same process last year comparing Honda, Yamaha, and Suzuki 225's & 250's. Settled on the Honda, but it was close. From various Internet searches it appeared that the bigger horsepower Suzuki's were experiencing a few more problems than the Yamahas and Hondas. The Yamaha and Honda seem to have about the same low rate of problems and issues. Ultimately, I chose the Honda because of the local dealership and service. One problem with the Honda. It does not support an NMEA 2000 interface. So you cannot plug into an on-board network to monitor engine functions on a network display. So if that is important to you, do not go with the Honda. Also, I have been disappointed with the high-end Honda digital gauges that you need to monitor things like fuel flow and fuel usage, along with normal functions like speed, Tach, oil pressure, etc. If I was doing it over, I would have gone with the individual digital gauges. Hope this helps."
