"I need to replace my optical sensor, however I am stumped on how to get the timing wheel removed. Is it threaded? Any help would be appreciated. 1996 Evinrude 175 GLEVE."
 
"Remove the center screw and l

"Remove the center screw and lift off the wheel,. It is only hold by a key, but has a tendancy of getting stuck. If so, you may try with CRC or similar, but not uncommeon that the plastic breaks and the wheel has to be replaced."

Thanks. I did break the wheel. It was really stuck. It almost looked as if it had glue in the contact area. I appreciate your response.
