"i have this 1969 20 hp outboa

"i have this 1969 20 hp outboard and everybody is telling me that they will not work on it because the age is to old. and that they cannot find a carb rebuild kit or waterpump for it. it starts but just wanna have it tuned up so i can wet a hook. can anybody help or point me in the right direction. i live in virginia beach, va so if you know anybody in this area that would be great."

That's not very old - yet!

That's not very old - yet! .. I am rebuiding a 57 Johnson 35 and with the right source - parts are not a problem so far. Plenty of parts for those 69's are out there.

I rebuild these 20's all the time. Plenty of places localy or online to get parts. Sierra Marine makes these parts & are available through your local dealership or online.
