Hello all. I have a 1976 John
Hello all. I have a 1976 Johnson 9.9 HP (model 10EL76). The spark is weak on both cylinders (jumps less than 1/8 inch on spark tester and is dull orange). I have checked the driver coil and it is 2.7 Ohms. Both sets of points and condensors look great. I set the timing by adjusting the gap of the points to .020 when the crank is rotated to the "set" position. The high-tention coil primaries both check about 1.1 ohms and the secondaries check about 13.5-k ohms. The wiring and terminals all look clean and good. I'm stuck. Any suggestions? Thanks.
