Help identifying gearcase

I rescued this from a scraper. It was off a blown up powerhead motor.
The guy I got it from was the son and didn't know what year or horsepower it was off of. There was no cowl in the pile of parts and I didn't think to look for the Model number on the bracket.

What do I need to look for in order to identify it or can someone tell by looking?

Thanks a lot Racer. I found dimensions for multiple lower units on the web and had kind of narrowed it down to that. For some reason, when I miked the hub size it was off a bit but the other measurements made it the only real option. I appreciate the confirmation.
