Help identifying DT15 model please.

Hi there, thank you for accepting me on the forum. I am new to boating and have a 15hp DT15 with the serial No 01501 20923. When looking for this number on the Brown's, and other sites, it seems to fall out-with the listings shown. Am I right in thinking that it is 1991 VM model? Any advise would be much appreciated,

Not sure if the link above will work, you may have to copy and paste. Your suzuki model # 10501 indicates that it’s a premix oil number manufactured 1983-1988. All the serial numbers given are in the hundreds of thousands not tens of thousands as you provided.

The first sentence does state “identification reference guide for all U.S. specification outboards produced by Suzuki Motor Corporation from 1977 to 1999” Any chance the outboard came from outside the US?

Thanks for your reply William, my apologies, I should have said I am in the Scottish Highlands so it will be a European spec!!
