Help identifying 9.8 HP and how the heck do you get the cowl cover off this model?? thanks

can't find any latch and i keep getting d\frustrated and giving up inside the hot boat

i removed one screw but cant see any obvious latch. is this a model where you remove the mercury logo area? couldnt find it...........

picture is from when i bought the motor and the guy is on vacation

It is a 1984 / 85 model.----I believe it is a latch at the back of the motor just below the cowling.-----Should be easy to find.----Push or pull.-----I could go look at one later to confirm.----Easy to find I think.

Push in on the wee square thingy.----Lower cowling at the back.----Starboard side .----Lift gently on upper cowling as you push on it.
