Head damage...

So, I cleaned this up and removed any ring material in there, but am I asking for trouble using this head?

Others would disagree, but I would use it without any fear.

Thanks I have no problems using it just wanted a second opinion. Hopefully have this running in the next week.

The head is warped -----They all are.----Refinish / make it flat before installing.

10-4 thanks. I checked it is warped for sure. I'm refinishing both. It's not much but I can feel a very slight rocking end to end. Other head is good but it's getting done as well.

Take a STRONG magnet and run it around damaged area to see if it wants to stick anywhere, if so dig out that piece of ring. The dents wont hurt a thing as they will eventually fill with carbon and no it will not cause hot spots...

You should have no problem using it as I've used many like them.
