Haromonic balancer automotive P/N ???

I need to replace the harmonic balancer on my OMC 3.0. It has slipped forward and is rubbing on the engine mounts.

Trouble is I am cheap and the OMC and Mercruiser parts are $250-300. I would like to price out an automotive one but I am having trouble with obtaining a part number. I do not have a NAPA nearby so no luck there.

Has anyone out there figured this out? My search on the forum has not turned up anything.

So, does anyone know the GM part number for the harmonic balancer or what engine this is? A google search pulled up "Tech 4" as the engine.

Any help would be much appreciated.

haha

strike 1 for google.... tech4 was a decal put on the 2.5 FWD engines GM used in Crapaliers and Cutlass Calais and the like....

the 3.0 wasn't used in any cars, so it might be marine/industrial only.

there is no balancer on a 2.5 only the 3.0 and that motor was never ever used in a auto.

It was used in some industrial applications such as a forklifts. And as i understand it thru some other posts on another website the Stromboli ice machine uses the 3.0.

Ebay might be your best bet for this one.
