Hi! I bought a 93 four winns with a 93 120 johnson the steering is a bear! 2 hands real hard to steer it! It runs great but the steering is hard. It is like a car with no power steering. I greast all the fittings on the motor and the shaft still hard to steer.

You probably need to replace the steering cable. There is no way to get grease into the cable casing and they just have to be replaced every so often.

"Disconnect the steering arm at the engine. Try the steering with the engine disconnected. If it is still a bear, you need a new cable, helm, or it could just be rust in the tilt tube. If it moves freely, and the engine is hard to turn, the pivot needs grease."
