Would I be correct in assuming that now only one of the pairs of brown wires from the stator are required to connect to the box?

It's a CDI unit #113-4028. No, I don't have the instructions ...

Well. Technically you're correct. It had the so called 'boomerang' coil/single powerpack assy to begin with. But we're tryin to do away with that bulky arrangement ...?

This particular powerpack, etc was pirated from a '92 88 special. The timer base plugs directly into the pack. 5 wire connector. The two brown wires from the port side of the stator connect to the CDI box as well. The 2 brown wires from the stb side of the stator appear to be unused?
