"Hi, I'm about to change to "through transom" exhausts on my 8.1 and was wondering if the balance tube/hose is critical to engine performance/health.Obviously Volvo put it there for a reason, but in an effort to minimise clutter around the engine I would leave it out if it wasn't critical. Any ideas?"
