Hello y'all, first post for me.
I've got a mid 80s 6hp long shaft Johnson. I have it on a 12ft aluminum skiff. I need a long shaft for my sailboat, but more in the 9.9-15hp range.
Does anyone know the compatibility of these extension kits? Could I simply buy a short shaft 9.9 and switch over the lower units? Or just the extension?
I don't know how much more information would be helpful. I can provide pictures and model numbers if need be.
