Gear Oil Leaking front of lower

1983 Johnson 60 HP: When I tilt the motor up to trailer it gear oil runs out of hole on front of lower. See pictures. Looking for feedback on how to proceed.

The guy I bought it from said the lower has been rebuilt. Not sure how many hours ago. We rebuilt the water pump about a year ago and nothing jumped out at us. I was about to take it and put it in and tilted the motor and noticed the oil coming out when tilted.
 
Are you sure it is gear oil and not just unburnt 2 stroke oil?

Does the oil in the gearcase show signs of water intrusion?
 
Yep... I am stupid. Everyone but me is correct. It is a 2 Stroke. I have never put gas in it so that alone makes this thread worth my time. Thanks I am still learning.
 
Took her out on her maiden voyage! She ran great! 27 mph with more to go. Hopefully, the oil I am seeing is from the gas. I will keep an eye on the lower oil level. She seems to be pumping water with a nice stream but other water coming out of back area. Not sure where yet. Thoughts on that anyone?
