I have a omc 6 gal. gas can very good shape / no rust. what is the best way to store it over the winter I just bought it yesterday and wanted to make sure I do it right

"Drain all the fuel out and dr

"Drain all the fuel out and dry out tank. If you have an air compressor, use that to blow into the tank as you use a small piece of hose or tube down in the remaining fuel. Tilt the tank on its corner, then put tube down into the bit of fuel in the corner. Direct tube into a can or plastic container. Blow air into the outboard can fill opening while holding a rag around it. The resulting pressure in the outboard can will push any remaining fuel out your little tube and safely into your plastic container. This is a great way to maintain your outboard can as any sediment and/or debris will push out the tube as well. Result......a clean, dry can for your fresh fuel next spring. Take care, Tim"
