Gas Leak

When I tilt motor up I have a gas leak coming from the carb. Any suggestions to fix this problem?

Depending on the model that is somewhat "typical" - particularly, the older Tillotson carbs puke out gas when tilted up into the "trailer position".

Fix the problem? ya, repower with an EFI

On a serious note, I am not aware of anything that can be done about it - kinda just the way it is unless you have an actual mechanical issue.

i always shut the gas off, then run the engine until it quits. then tilt and trailer home.
