Just thought I would mention a problem I've had over the last couple of years.
In 2013 my boat would not get up to plane. I could troll all day long with no problem. But try to go full throttle, it just wouldn't do it. Took it to a dealer and they replaced one of the ignition coils. It was covered under warranty. Two years later (2015) it started doing the same thing. It feels like a fuel problem but it is not. Took it back to the dealer and they replaced all 4 coils. they told me Mercury has been having a problem with these coils and issued a bulletin to the dealers (no recall) to replace them. At first the dealer said to me that the motor is out of warranty, but I think he could tell that I was not going too buy it. Since I had it in before the warranty expired. Anyway I thought I would share this with the forum.
