Fuel sheen on water Chrysler 360

I have a 360 with Marine Edelb

I have a 360 with Marine Edelbrock carbs. On initial startup I get some fuel out of the exhaust.

Any Ideas ?

Choke set too rich? Try leaning the setting up and see if that helps.

I run all of my carbs this way. Don't care if the motor stalls a few times from being too lean--I can fire it right back up again. Much better than having it blubber away in a too rich condition.

Don't mess with those unless you know what you're doing, for getting the idle right on a hard-mounted marine engine is tougher than many think.

The choke housing has a way to rotate the choke internals to reduce pressure on the spring that closes the choke. Loosen the locking screws and rotate the plastic (usually) part until the choke has less closing force. That will lean it up.
