fuel pump pulling power

Search yielded nothing on this. Curious if the fuel pump on a '99 25HP motor can pull fuel from a remote tank, about 12' away. Thinking of installing a tank under the bow. I did this years ago on a much larger motor without issue. Wasn't sure if the smaller motor could do it. If not, thinking electic pump at the tank with pressure regulator down to minimal pressure.

Long horizontal runs are not a problem. 12' is nothing. Lifting distance might be, but that's not likely on a boat.

For long runs, or more lift, you can run some copper tubing, because pulses can be absorbed in long rubber hose runs, especially when it is warm weather and the hose is softer.
