Fuel pump brass fitting on output side

I’m chasing down a bogging down at higher speed that can be solved by pumping the priming hose. All seems to be in order but I do wonder about the change in hose size coming out of the fuel pump. The orifice at the bottom is a larger one (same as for hose from tank hose to fuel pump) and then there is a tee that converts from that size down to something that almost seems smaller than the 5/32 carb hose. I’ve looked on the parts diagrams and the tee fitting seems to be there for a 20hp but not for a 35…is there a hose size that will fit BOTH the larger brass fitting under the fuel pump AND the smaller brass fitting under the carb bowl that would eliminate the need for the tee altogether?

It is there for both motors. Keep it in place it acts as a restriction for the bigger pump. That pump is the same one on the V4 motors. So it is overkill for the 32 Cube 2 cylinder motors.
