Fuel pressure

I have a 1998 yamaha 225 V- max (v225 tlrw) I am having a problem getting the motor to crank! I have spark, I have fuel, but I do not believe my fuel injector pump has enough fuel pressure. I can take a spray bottle of mixed fuel and spray into the motor and it will fire off and run as long as I am keeping fuel sprayed into all the cylinders. When I stop spraying the fuel the motor shuts down. I took the fuel bar off and as long as the motor is turning over the injectors are spraying fuel. But when the key is left into the on position, it stops spraying fuel. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also I was told to check the fuel pressure where it has the little valve stem ( just like a tire) what do I check this with? A tire pressure gauge? LOL Also how much pressure should it hold? And how do I check the pressure? (What type of tool do I use). Thank you for looking at this discussion and please reply with any suggestion
