Just purchased a 1978 Johnson

Just purchased a 1978 Johnson 35 Sea horse. Was wondering if anyone on this site might know where I can find out the fuel/oil mix? Are there any bearings in the lower end that needs to be greased? I noticed that the spark plugs that are in this are a BR9HS is this the right plug. The reason I ask is that the parts store can't get this plug anymore. Is there a place to get a repair manual. Please help ready for the summer season.

Never use a NGK 'R' plug on this engine!
 
i have this motor 2 oil mix sh

i have this motor 2 oil mix should be under little lid on dog house on front of motor but mins worn if u know oil mix let me know

Curious.... Will the "R" plugs screw something up?

The 'R' plugs builds u

The 'R' plugs builds up a voltage in the coil leads they are not able to hold and the sparks may jump from the secondary lead to primary lead (from powerpack). What happends? Try to run 28.000Volts into Your computers USB port!

Maybe this will help with all my questions. I am assuming this is a 78 due to the model #. If I am wrong someone speak up thanks.
