Newbie here. This is my first boat. I recently boat a 92 Bayliner that needs a new engine block. I see one for sale but I’m not sure if it’s correct. My block is stamped 818153C1, the one for sale is 818153A23. Should I just look at the 818153 or does the letter after make a difference?

What year is you 90 hp force engine?
My engine block casting number (casting number on starboard side under the ignition plate) is:
800-818153-C1

Based on the parts diagram I think I have a 1992 model but I am not sure and it looks like your casting number matches mine.

Could you post a picture of the starboard side of the engine, so I can compare the ignition system to yours and mine?
