Flush Hose Attachment Point BF250D

I'm embarrassed to ask such a dumb question, but the flush hose pulled out of my motor and I can't figure out where it attaches to the cooling jacket or block. I can't even see how it can pass through the cowling. Nothing I can find in the shop manual shows where it is connected.

Please help me out!

Look around.
You will find the nipple.
Put the hose back in and add a cable tie on both ends to prevent it from being forced out.
It does not pass into the cowling.
The entry point for the water and the check valve assembly are external.
