I have a new boat with a 1957 Ford 312 Interceptor engine. It hasn't been ran since 2008. I am curious, does this engine crank slow normally?
Any tips on getting her started.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Awesome, I will take a look at the starter.
Is there an easy way to identify?
A Bendix drive motoruses high quick armature torque to throw the pinion gear out via steep cut spiral splines..... (no solenoid lever action).
You'll see either a case mounted solenoid switch, or a remotely located solenoid switch.
Any recommendations on where I can get one ??
I do not, and it may be tough to find for this model, but it's certainly worth looking into.
Maybe ask the Ford classic car guys.
Thanks !!
