Hi all, been awhile since I've posted. Hope everyone is doing well. I'm rebuilding the carb on a 15 hp Yamaha. I am having trouble finding the correct carb kit for it. Does anyone have a part #. I prefer Siera due to price. Also while I'm on the subject of carb rebuild ,is it common practice to remove the brass plug covering the idle mixture screw. If so how ? Also I see listings for two different part numbers for a # 38 jet . (6ag-1498-02-00 and 6ah-1498-02-00 ) Is there a difference , both say they fit my motor. This is on boat.net site . Thanks David

The EPA brass plug is removed by carefully drilling a small hole in it. Then a screw is screwed into the hole so that pulling on the screw will pull the plug out with it.

Count the number of turns inward and record that in your service manual. The number of turns inward will be the number of turns outward that you will use when reinstalling the screw after cleaning the carburetor.
