My evinrude is hard to start. Always has been and I want to tune her up. I've tried all the starting tricks, pressing in the key and whatnot but it takes a good 30 seconds of start and stop to get her running. Once it's up to temp it runs like a beast. I've been taking a 20lt cube of water and the muffs with me to the boat ramp to warm it up before putting it in the water but that is getting old.
No year or model as the model number doesn't match the block. I'm pretty sure it's all been replaced.
It has the metal carbs which I've heard is like striking gold.
I'm expecting to have to balance the carbs or mess with the timing. Either of which I don't know how to do. Help is much appreciated.
