engine stalling

put a new fuel pump, plugs, timing, dwell, engine runs great full throttle,half ,quater,does not break up . When you slow it down cruising speed, or forward to reverse it stalls so when pulling away from ramp or coming back in to dock and need to put into reverse to slow down it stalls. 1985 gmc ,3.8liter, v6. any ideas

Ayuh,... Sounds like the low speed circuit in the carb is Plugged.... Rebuild the carb...
