"i completely rebuilt the engine and tranny in my 16ft cheetah. now i have spent 3 days trying to align the propeller shaft and the engine, but i cant get it right. I am at my wits end. if anyone has any info they would like to share i would love to hear it. Thanks.

"Were there shims under the mounts when you took it out? If so did you keep them all in order? Did you change the set-up of the mounts when you cleaned it all? Are you using the same holes in the stringers?

Is your shaft true and turning easily in the thru-hull, cutlass bearing etc. all good?"
 
the engine configuration was c

the engine configuration was completely changed. the engine was moved ahead 2 inches to allow room for a longer transmission. the drive shaft was cut shorter as well.
