E-Tech - Hole in Lower Unit

I have a 2020 60hp E-Tech. While going 10mph, the engine suddenly quit. I found a hole in the lower unit casing on the port side. It looks like faulty materials to me. Does anyone have experience with this type of failure and warranty claim? I expect Evinrude (BRP) will not want to cover it at first. I took it to an authoriced service place, and they wanted too much to look and see if it a warranty j0b or not.
Looking for ideas and if this has happened to anyone else. Thanks for your time.

What warranty ( extended ? ) did you get with this motor ?---Do you have a BRP / Evinrude shop in your area ?-----Did you change the oil yourself on this gearcase ?-----Your location ?-----It needs a complete gearcase.-----Driveshaft and gears will be damaged I think.

Yikes — Just the 10 year warranty you get when you buy the engine. I did change the gear oil myself. Have done that for decades. I followed the directions, and have never had an issue. I can’t imagine how this happened. I’ve owned Evinrudes for 40 years. All of them were great engines.
