Drain vst tank??

2003 Honda 225. Do you need to drain the VST tank when winterizing the outboards if a fuel stabilizer ( STA-BIL 360 10 TO 1 RATIO) was added? I ran the outboards while still in the water until the flo-meter register 1/2 gallon used.

You should drain the VST when you pull your 100 hour maintenance, or annually, whichever comes first. Water and sometimes minute particles will accumulate in the VST and a stabilizer will not fix that. It's pretty simple to do. You need a 10" slotted screwdriver and a clear, clean one quart jar.
