drain plug

1976 omc sterndrive. how to drain oil out of upper unit. has electric shift 190 hp.

I am trying to drain oil from upper unit of gear case but cant find a drain plug. its a1976 omc sterndrive, 190 hp. electric shift.

it may be like my cobra when you drain the lower it drains the upper. i found that out the hard way. on top of upper unit mine has 4 bolts holding top plate on and 1 bolt in the center that is a dipstick.
