Does anyone know the correct size hose for 454

"the coolant waterpump back to the heat exchanger? This is the one that runs down the side of the engine.

All my old hoses were painted so I couldn't see what size they were. I got 1.75" but can only just get it started, no way it's going on.

I was going to order 2" but see that Lighthouse has 1 7/8".

If someone could tell me, I would appreciate it. I'm amassing a pile of new hose that I can't use
