New to me boat.
My starboard trim gage wasn't working so pull switch and cleaned contacts. I think it is the gage. But looked at port trim limit and it is the three wire boat is smart craft ready but no smart craft yet.
Checking trim limit positions and drive raises they them using trim on shifter. I believe I checked this last season and it was working correctly.
Does the engine need to be running for this digital switch to limit the drive? I'm used to the analog two wire.
I with be adding the wiring to connect both engines to my Simrad go thru the nema 2000 network.
I read this digital limits can be set with smart craft. How are the working with my current analog system? The switches look sealed no screws on the outside at least can these be taken apart for service. Thanks for any help.
