"I have a 290 DP that is going to swapped with a 290SP. Then I 'm gong to swap lowers to be a DP again.....

The Dp uses gearlube typically and the Sp uses motor oil.

When I swap these drives out do I need to check anything internal or swap anything internal to maintain proper lubrication?

Ultimately, the SP will be a DP and use gear lube.

DP must use GL 5 gear lube. Si

DP must use GL 5 gear lube. Single prop drive slinger pump must have engine oil only.

Critical shimming must be performed when swapping any uppers/lowers to a diferent Intermmediatd housing. No exceptions!
