De-carbing older 2-strokes

I had a 2003 DFI 2-stroke that needed to be decarbed about every 80 hours of operation, less if run at lower speeds. Made quite a difference in performance.

Currently I have a 1997 c150 yamaha 2-stroke, curious if it should be decarbed as well.

If so, any product that you guys recommend? Mine is a carburated (6 total)
V6.

Thanks

I've decarbed a 2-stroke before, isn't the standard procedure to spray the intake while running at idle until it stalls, wait 15 minutes, then start it up and run it at pretty high rpm's? I.E. blow it out pretty well?

Are you saying you should just run at idle after the restart?
