Cylinder head gasket.

I’m thinking about replacing the cylinder head on my Johnson seahorse 7.5 model AD-11. I recently put on a new gasket on. When I remove the cylinder head will it ruin the gasket? It’s made of metal.

I think it could seriously damage the metal gasket. It's better to replace the gasket with a new one when you install the new cylinder head.
I mean this will ensure a proper seal (and prevent potential leaks).

You put a new head gasket on 3 days ago ?----Now you want to replace cylinder head ?----Stripped a sparkplug thread ?

when you torque a cyl head down it crushes the fire ring if you reuse the same head gasket it may not seal and cause water to get into the cyl and melt a piston its strongly advisable to get a new head gasket

Occasionally you will get by with the same gasket fitted to the same head. With a new head, I would say "risky business".
