I’m thinking about replacing the cylinder head on my Johnson seahorse 7.5 model AD-11. I recently put on a new gasket on. When I remove the cylinder head will it ruin the gasket? It’s made of metal.

I forgot there was a problem with the cylinder head. I just replaced the gasket.
This is a new gasket. I just put it on 3 days ago.I think it could seriously damage the metal gasket. It's better to replace the gasket with a new one when you install the new cylinder head.
I mean this will ensure a proper seal (and prevent potential leaks).
I forgot. This is an on and off project. I just want to know if simply taking it off will ruin the gasket? You put a new head gasket on 3 days ago ?----Now you want to replace cylinder head ?----Stripped a sparkplug thread ?
