I have a 1960 18 and it’s missing the latch assembly for the cowl. They seem pretty hard to come by on eBay and when I do see them, they’re pretty expensive. Was wondering if there is any cross compatibility amongst the latches from those years.
For instance there’s a 5.5hp one on eBay that looks identical to the one I’d need minus the 5.5 sticker. The sticker doesn’t matter to me… motor is getting sanded down and painted anyways.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!!!
