Converting to electric start

Hi, I have a 1972 (?) Evinrude Fastwin 18hp which runs well. I have had a defibrillator fitted myself and its now harder to pull start the engine so I'm looking to convert to electric start, if its viable. The hardest thing to source seems to be the starter motor bracket for this engine. I don't want to get the other parts yet untilI know I can attach the starter properly. I am pretty sure its a 1972 but someone has changed the transom yoke in the past and this one doesn't have a serial number plate on it anywhere. So pretty sure but not certain. Any useful comments would be welcome and I don't mean 'buy another engine'!!

Bracket from 1960 to 1976 will fit.----Doner / parts motor is best option.

You might be better off finding working motor with electric start

Looking at the prices of the various components, especially the bracket, I starting to feel you're right.
