"On my 86 bayliner capri with 85 hp force when I go to start it and put it in nuetrual I always need to pull back the contol just a bit more to hit right spot so motor will turn over, can it be adjusted by control or motor linkage so it starts when control is in nuterual?"
 
"Jerry, if you are indicating

"Jerry, if you are indicating that you have to fiddle around a bit for the neutral safety switch to engage properly (which then allows power to the starter), the switch itself may be either starting to give up on you or has got knocked out it's normal place in the control box from years of use.

If it needs replacing, they are not overly expensive. If you have any "downtime" where you won't have your boat out for a bit, you could wait until then to have a look at it, and for now just fiddle to get it to work...."
